To Understand this Chapter Let's look my Anology first.
Assume You
Take a car, you pay your money you like your car
girls like you with
this car and everything is ok. But you do not read
what your car serves
you. You don't have enough info what is the
characterstic of your car.
One day it is hot and you need air coditioner.
If you don't know whether
your car has such property or not then
you will built new or you will pay
money for getting new.This is waste of time
and money.
This Chapter does not give All features and functions of Oracle
but it says
that know what is already provided. Even cursory knowledge
of what is
provided is enough since if you need you can go and search about
this
property instead of rebuilting or getting new one.
There are nice examples on this chapter about this fact.Thomas Kyte give
some good
examples why you should know what is already provided and
he warns us "Do not Suffer".
